Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EVT App ("EVT App", "the app"), a native iOS, iPadOS, and macOS application published by East Valley Tactical ("East Valley Tactical", "we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using EVT App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

EVT App is provided as a record-keeping tool for individuals who legally own or have legitimate access to firearms. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the app complies with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to you. Use of the app does not confer any right to own, possess, or transfer firearms — those rights and restrictions are governed entirely by applicable law, not by this app.

Your responsibility for your data

EVT App stores the data you enter locally on your device and, optionally, in your iCloud or Google Drive account. You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and completeness of the records you enter.
• Maintaining your own backups (the app provides backup features, but you must enable and verify them).
• Complying with any record-keeping requirements applicable to NFA items or other regulated firearms in your jurisdiction. EVT App is a personal organization tool and is not a substitute for official records or legally required documentation.
• Securing access to the device(s) on which the app is installed.

Not legal, financial, or compliance advice

Any content within EVT App — including suggested manufacturer names, default value ranges, reliability statistics, cleaning interval recommendations, and any product information surfaced through the embedded shop — is informational only. EVT App does not provide legal advice, financial advice, firearms-law compliance guidance, or appraisal services. Consult a qualified attorney for questions about firearms law, an appraiser for accurate valuations, and a CPA for tax-related treatment of firearm purchases or sales.

Embedded shop and East Valley Tactical storefront

EVT App includes a Shop tab that loads the East Valley Tactical storefront (eastvalleytactical.com) inside an in-app web view. Any purchases made through the storefront are governed by East Valley Tactical's website terms and store policies, which are separate from these app Terms. The app does not facilitate firearm transfers or process payments directly; all commerce happens through the storefront.

Disclaimers

EVT App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. East Valley Tactical does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss.

Reliability statistics, malfunction tracking, ammunition recommendations, and similar analytical features are derived from the range data you enter and are intended as general indicators only. Real-world firearm reliability depends on many factors not captured in the app (ammunition lots, maintenance state, environmental conditions, etc.). Do not rely on EVT App for safety-critical decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, East Valley Tactical shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, lost profits, loss of use, or business interruption — arising out of or related to your use of EVT App, even if East Valley Tactical has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid East Valley Tactical for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim (which, for a free app, is $0).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after a revision is published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to a revision, you should stop using the app and may delete it from your devices.
